Mixed Media Animation

 

Artist Terry Dixon explores the use of his traditional studio art practices and integrates motion graphics and sound. The unique combination of digital media and his years of traditional studio art practices, brings birth to an animated mixed media collage of moving faces, eyes, mouths and intuitive abstract line drawings.  

 

Dixon's experience with photography and digital media extends back many years. You could say he is one of the many early pioneers of using the computer to generate his abstract line drawings that moved to funky beats and horn rhythms.  The video link below contains Dixon's signature portraits of peoples faces and his unique intuitive line drawings, as they fade out, twirl, scoll from top to bottom, left to right and gradually zoom inside small frames on the surface.
