College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL 1999 – Present

Associate Professor of Computer Arts-Tenure / College Art Gallery Curator

Provide strategic direction in developing 70 plus students’ digital art skills each semester. Implement various hands-on digital media techniques in animation, video art and sound. Oversee curriculum development and design of computer art courses. Invite guest speakers. Prepare students for entry into four-year colleges and graduate programs, while encouraging them to develop portfolios for exhibitions.

Played an integral role in establishing the Digital Media and Design certificate program.
Developed and added seven additional digital media courses in a continuous effort to improve the art program, excite and encourage more students to enroll despite downturns in the economy.
Successful in maintaining departmental budget; eliminating the need for educational grants.
Secured $15,000 in funding for the art department when program was in the midst of expanding.
Improved faculty relations and worked collectively with digital media department in developing a highly structured curriculum using own digital art courses.

Served as the key producer of all multimedia and video productions for various educational departments and external private corporations. Managed state-of-the art media equipment, purchasing and repairs.

Supervised a team of student workers and developed a highly extensive digital media training program.
